Advanced training in urban dance

Urban dance

And performance

Formation supérieure hip hop Rise

We train dancers and performers in the multiple techniques and practices of urban dance, from the foundations of urban culture to current choreographic practices.

They can be trained in two or three years of continuing education. In La Louvière, our location offers easy access and interaction with social and cultural life. Our coaching and the pursuit of excellence in dance practice are major elements of our teaching practices.

Thanks to the various courses that bring together different urban techniques, but also academic dances, and that build the program; thanks to guest teachers, participation in cultural events and work with Belgian and international agencies, we build and strengthen the range of skills of our students. We also emphasize respect for our values: respect for the plurality of convictions, solidarity, and the dignity and honor of each individual. At the end of the training, dancers are ready to face the reality of the field and start a professional dance activity.

Whether in creation or interpretation, students trained in RISE will have a range of tools to enable them to :
– Take part in auditions and castings with talent and flair.

– Respond quickly to the demands from a choreographer or artistic director.

– Interpret choreography wisely, intelligently and creatively.

– Stand out from the crowd and offer a personal approach to dance.

– Manage their social status, contracts, insurance, etc.

– Know and understand the surrounding cultural landscape.

– Embark on a freelance career in the dance industry.

– Understand cultural issues and the operators who shape them.
– And much more!

RISE is a complete training center featuring some of the best national and international teachers. They pass on their visions, techniques and knowledge to the students with a complete generosity that characterizes the strength of the training program.
In this way, many courses complete the program onto the learning of dance itself:
– Theory
– History of dance
– Anatomy

– Nutrition
– Management & Contracts
– And many more

What next?

The aim of the training program is to prepare students for their integration into the dance industry.

We want them to be fully ready to get into working after their two or three years program.
Although the learning process is never-ending, the aim of the training is to prepare them for a concrete entry into professional life.

This is what makes “RISE” such a unique and multifaceted band.
We look at the different professional opportunities available to an artist:
– Working in company
– Working as a freelancer
– Working in the choreographic creation sector
– Working in the performing arts sector
– Working in cultural education
– Working in event performance
– Etc…

It’s by broadening the field of possibilities that the artist will develop a multitude of opportunities after his training. Also keeping in mind their professional priorities and desires.
