Higher education in dance and performance

And performance

Ways training program belgium
école supérieure danse

We train dancers in current techniques and practices and in building an artistic career.

They can be trained in two or three years of continuing education. Not far from Brussels (the European capital), our location offers easy access and interaction with social and cultural life. Our coaching and the pursuit of excellence in dance practice are major elements of our teaching practices.

Thanks to the various courses that make up the program, guest teachers, participation in cultural events and work with Belgian and international agencies, we build and strengthen our students’ skills. We also emphasize respect for our values: respect for the plurality of convictions, solidarity, and the dignity and honor of each individual. At the end of the training, dancers are ready to face the reality of the field and start a professional dance activity.

Whether in creation or interpretation, students trained at Ways will have a range of tools at their disposal to enable them to :
– Appear at auditions and castings with talent and flair

– Respond quickly to the demands from a choreographer or artistic director

– Interpret choreography with intelligence and creativity

– Stand out from the crowd and offer a personal approach to dance

– Manage your social status, contracts, insurances, etc.

– Know and understand the surrounding cultural landscape.

– Embark on a freelance career in the dance industry.

– Understand cultural issues and the operators who shape them.
– And much more!

Ways is a comprehensive training center featuring some of the best national and international teachers. They pass on their vision, technique and knowledge to the students with a complete generosity that characterizes the strength of the training program.
In this way, many courses are complementary onto the learning of dance itself:

What next?

The aim of the training program is to prepare students for their integration into the dance industry.

We want our students to be fully ready to start working after the two or three years program.
Although the learning process is never-ending, the aim of the training is to prepare them for a concrete entry into professional life.

That’s what makes the Ways Training Program so unique and multifaceted.
We look at the different professional opportunities available to an artist:
– Working in company
– Working as a freelancer
– Working in the choreographic creation sector
– Working in the performing arts sector
– Working in cultural education
– Working in event performance
– Etc…

It’s by broadening the field of possibilities that the artist will develop a multitude of opportunities after his training. All the while keeping in mind your professional priorities and desires.
